I am finally leavin Hatyai tomorrow. Definitely not a place that has much soul. Imagine armed guards outside McDonalds and all around town. Kinda shows you how scary this place can be. I am now wondering whether I should stay in Vientiane, Laos since I would be choosing doing the Laos-Thai border visa run rather than the Myammar-Thai visa run as it is much safer. The Junta is a rather crazy bunch of people and it would be best to avoid them.
