Night out at Attica on Sunday.

Hunt for Mr Trevvy 08, which was murderously boring. Drinks tasted like blackcurrent juice, crowd left after the show.. Zzz.

We ended up heading to Mustafa Centre at 3am. Being a Mustafa virgin shopper, I was amazed (yes, laugh at me for all I care) by the HUGE range of stuff, practically EVERYTHING under one roof.

I'm at a life's crossroad now. Am deciding between studying sports massage and continue searching for a job in fashion/vm.

Mom is getting on my nerves. I told her last night that I don't appreciate her bringing me down with all her negative comments. I can understand that she is worried that I might ve making a wrong move, but her constant words of doubts are just making me feel lousy.

Ronald asked me whether I wanna relocate to Bangkok to do some marketing job for a new magazine.

Maybe I'm being way too skeptical and worried, but I just can't shake the feeling that something might happen off.

Today I found out that Qing Wen is fine. I mentioned in earlier post that her hometown of Sichuan had a massive earthquake, and I have been so worried about her safety.

I'm just glad that she's fine.

Although I have been excited about going to Bali, mom said she wasn't and was just feeling the pain of paying for the trip. Now suddenly I don't feel like going anymore.

I guess that is why i prefer to travel alone; do things alone. At least you don't have to be tied down by someone else and their moods.

Thats why I like exercising alone, playing squash alone.. At least you don't hafta count on someone else. Twin told me that when you are a dancer, you must belong to a dance group so as to have an identity.

Kinda like a gang huh.

Which just sounded ridiculous to me that you have to belong to something to be somebody (no offence, twin).

And I miss Andrea Emily Jan and rest.

ELLEN DEGENERES IS GETTING MARRIED!!!!!

I never thought I would say this.. But wow! Finally!

The California Supreme Court struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage on 15 May.

With the ban lifted, TMZ reports that Ellen DeGeneres has announced during the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she will tie the knot with longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi.

My mom's friend from the States, Jonathan, came to Singapore for a short visit.

Mom's bos, Janet, decided to bring him out for a treat at East Coast Park.

Jonathan grew up in Singapore (he claims to have carried me when I was a baby), studied in St Pats, left after O Levels. His mom is my mom's former boss, and a dear friend.

I saw this tub on the grass patch, which is actually an art piece entitled.... "TUB". Seriously?

Chin Wah Heng seafood restaurant. We had alot of prawns: drunken prawns... cereal prawns..

When we were leaving, we passed by a caucasian couple prolly in their mid 30s.

The woman was beautiful beyond words. Blond, with her hair bun up, smoky eyes, slender bod, sultry looks... all to make me take an extra 20sec long glance at her.

Oh God..

I just saw the news on Sichuan's massive earthquake.

I am really worried about Qing Wen. Is she here now or did she go back to her hometown?

Will someone who know her whereabout kindly let me know?

I'm just hoping and praying for her safety, and for her family and girlfriend too.

Parisan Women (and Men) are really good looking.

Ellen + Tina Fey = Serious Hilarity

Today.Saturday.

It saddens me.

Marriage has now become a joke and divorce rates are climbing.

My parents.. My uncle and aunt.. My friends (In sec sch ALL BUT 1 are from a broken home)..

Marriage is such a precious thing; it is a gift.

People never treasure things they don't have to fight for it, and marriage is one of those things people just take for granted.

Doesn't work out? Lets divorce.

I always wanted a wedding of my own on a cruise. From young I fantasied about it (although the person I was marrying was without a face). Having to give up this dream is such a heartpaining thing (it is every girl's dream).

Hence when I hear of families breaking up, couples divorcing blah blah blah, I feel like slapping them, and make them realise that there are couples out there who wants to marry but are unable to do so.

Was at my uncle's place to celebrate my cousin's 21st birthday. The whole time the family was quarreling.. On the way back my uncle was grumbling about life and the marriage and what shit..

These lucky heterosexuals are just so...

WEAR RED OR A RAINBOW COLORED CLOTHING ON MAY 17!

Entitled Homosexuality is not a sickness!.

On a May 17 that the World Health Organisation (WHO) removed homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses. Unfortunately, though, prejudice is deep-rooted since some people still think that being gay or lesbian is a mental disorder while others mistakenly believe that homosexuality can be “cured”.

The International Day Against Homophobia is an annual thematic event occurring every May 17. This is a unifying moment during which a great number of activities are taking place. It also represents an opportunity to organize educational and awareness activities. Citizens from all walks of life are invited to reflect on homophobia and its devastating effects.

Because of homophobia, certain people have difficulty accepting and living a sexual orientation that is different from that of the majority, the suicide rate among young gays is much higher than with their heterosexual peers, a great number of gays and lesbians live in secret and in fear of rejection, and transgendered and transsexual persons still live on the fringe of society.

ARE YOU HOMOPHOBIC?

Both on a conscious or sub-conscious level, homophobia surfaces in various ways and can even be internalised.

Homophobic Attitudes
Feelings or convictions that gays and lesbians are abnormal or sick'

Homophobia-inspired Heterosexism
The false belief that everybody is heterosexual and that only heterosexuality is acceptable and legitimate' This belief is based on the idea that the majority sets the norm'

Homophobic Language
The use of vocabulary and expressions that can span from jokes to insults'

Interpersonal Homophobia
Non-verbal displays of being ill-at-ease, feeling unsafe or experiencing fear when in contact with gay men and/or lesbians'

Institutionalised/Systemic Homophobia
The built-in institutional practice of putting gays and lesbians at a disadvantage'

Opportunistic Homophobia
Being interested in homosexuality solely for financial or personal gain, and not wanting to be associated with being homosexual or with gay men and lesbians'

Internalised Homophobia
An often sub-conscious form of homophobia that is a product of education and social values passed down by society' Gay men and lesbians, too, can adopt homophobic behaviour'

Condoned (passive) Homophobia
Silence or lack of response to acts of homophobic language or behaviour that call for someone to intervene and put an end to them'

Homophobic Violence
An extreme display of homophobia that leads to violence and can range from verbal assault to hate crimes'
