Today.Monday.

I am sitting in an internet cafe now, near to my hotel. Here is it 1baht/min.

Sunday:
Today Ploy couldn't join me so I went out alone.

I went back to Wang Lang, followed by Platinum.

Wang Lang... OMG what a horror finding a cab back to Ratchathewi. In case you didn't know, Wang Lang is OUTSIDE of central bangkok. Hence many taxis are not willing to go back to central bangkok. The taxi there was booked through HOWA TAXI.

What idiots. They have an english website but they can't speak English! So i had a very hard time talking to them.

On my way back from Wang Lang, I had an even harder time. Not only did they not understand me, they hung up on me thrice! Lord!

Then I went back to my hotel first as I was freaking having a headache. After resting from the fucking heat stroke, I headed down to Platinum.

Monday:

Met Ploy for lunch after her school. She brought me to this restaurant at Siam Square called Som Tum Nua (restaurant) and the food was AROY MAK MAK!

My favourite drink in Thailand----> CHA YEN!!

Then we shopped at Siam Square for a couple of hours. Siam Square is like far east to Singaporeans, and things are paeng nit noy (a little expensive).

I love A&W!

This shop gave a paper bag instead of the normal plastic bag, which reminded me of takeaways at Burger King.

In a bid to try Mango Sticky Rice, Ploy brought me to this cafe at Siam Square called Mango Tango. Here, the Mango Sticky Rice is given a contemporary touch to it, and the decor of the place is seriously interesting.

The "cage" looking lights, according to Ploy, is actually a tool used to pluck mangoes! What a creative way of incorporating history and modern interior!

From Siam Square, we ended up at Bonzana Mall. Bonzana Mall is another hub for thai youths, and here one can find the usual clothings, shoes, and what nots.

Thereafter we headed down to Central World just for fun joy and laughter. We ended up walking around Zen, a PAENG MAK MAK shopping centre!! It is like shopping at Robinsons or Paragon.

At Central World, we decided to have cakes for dinner. So Ploy brought me to a place called Coffee Bean (not the coffee bean in Singapore). Carrot cake was alright.. And they spelt Horlics Cake as Horlice Cake!

We headed back to MBK and Ploy had to leave to meet her uncle. So I shopped alone for awhile before coming to this internet cafe.

Back tomorrow! Not looking forward though..

Today.Saturday.

I AM IN BANGKOK NOW!!

I am blogging at my hotel's internet cafe right now, with Backstreet Boys' song playing behind me. 50baht ($1=22.3baht) per 30mins.

WHAT A DAY!

Just came back from a massage session. 1 and a half hours. It is located next to my hotel! Heaven on earth. 300bath for 1.5 hrs!

Just to recap..

Thursday: My two lovely friends,

JAN and ESTEE,

sent me off, and even bought me sweets, that came in damn handy as I had gastric during my long taxi ride in Siam from Suvarnabhumi airport!

After dumping my luggage in the hotel, I quickly made my way down to Siam to meet Ploy, my secondary school thai friend, for dinner at MBK. Thank God i know someome here in Bangkok.

Delicious pad thai and cha yen at MBK's food court.

Friday: Met Ploy at Platinum. Didn't plan to meet up with her everyday, thinking it would only be the first night. But Ploy is damn nice, and I am so thankful. With Ploy around, she helped me to negotiate the prices to a local or rather a lower price.

After Platinum, we went to Wang Lang. Wang Lang is a 2nd hand market for locals, locate outside central Bangkok. So if you an't speak Thai, don't bother going.

Day one's stuff.

Saturday: CHATUCHAK!
I went to chatuchak first thing in the morning. The plan is to shop first, then Ploy and her sister Pin would join me in the afternoon.

So I took the BTS to Mo Chit BTS, and changed to Kamphaengphet Mrt. The MRT brings me to another part of Chatuchak market instead of the commonly used section via Mo Chit BTS.

And shop I did.

And money burnt burnt burnt.

Too many tourist, so prices are higher than expected.

When Ploy and Pin came later, it was another round of shopping.

Pin (wearing cap) and Ploy. We were at a small stall at Chatuchak, only because we wanted aircon. It wasn't that hot, kinda like Bugis Street. Don't understand why everyone keeps scaring me about how hot how stuffy the place is.

Total hours I spent at Chatuchak: 8.30am to 6pm.

........

My legs HURT like pins and needles and accupuncture.
Nothing else to do at night, so I stayed in the hotel and watched Scary Movie 4 on Star Movies. Jeez.

Today.Tuesday.

2 days more, baby, to a great shopping trip to bangkok!

My DNA is overrun with sales signs and discount figures. It's what most women do. I do it well.

I have been overloading my system with the drama BONES. It is a highly recommended drama serial if you love solving crimes and the process of solving crime.

While CSI and Criminal Minds concentrate on the human psychology to catch the killer, Bones uses.. well.. bones to determine the killer.

I wonder whether Bangkok sells *ahem* pirated drama serial dvds.

Haha this video is damn funny. About a sneezing panda. Gotta watch! (shown on Ellen)

Today.Wednesday.

I have been feeling rather restless and bored-beyond-words ever since I graduated.

The sudden feeling of not burying oneself in EXCEL sheets and branding campaign is foreign.

I never thought I would say this...

BUT I MISS SCHOOL.

Or actually.. I miss my friends.

Was looking through past photos of the last 3 years in Temasek Polytechnic.

Fucking hilarious. Especially the "trying to turn straight so keep my hair longer" phase.

Here are some for you to laugh at.

2006

Note the hair. The longest length I have kept since I left secondary school. Celebrating my 18th birthday in school, and the SF clan silkscreened my face on tshirts n wore it to school. I love ya guys.

Me and Esther, we are two people who are seriously in need of a brain.

My life became damn frustating, and I blame it on A-LINE SKIRTS. Fucking sewing.. no, only the unpicking is $%^&*%$#$%. Note the psychotic hair color i had in 2006. Seriously Chris, WTF?!

My group mates for Retail Project(?), which was one emotionally-draining and fucked up period.

Nearing the end of 2006, and the SF clan had a chalet. It was at this chalet that we came up with the "boyband pose".

Sometimes we hang out and stay over at Jan's place.
2007

Here, we celebrated Chueen Er's 19th birthday.

A night out with Clarissa Trudi, our adjunct lecturer.

The crazy crazy Retail Project which drove me to tears (literally) and made me screamed at Eleanor. I was a fucked up young kid, i swear.
2008

On my 3rd last day of my 3 years in Temasek Polytechnic, I decided to play a game of "skipping balloon" with fellow retards Eleanor and Loko. LOL.
Whoever said that one becomes wiser (indirectly refering to maturity level) is BULLSHITTING.

Here we are, at Ikea when we were supposed to be tending our booths.

And to end it all with a picture of a few Apparel Design and Merchandising girls.
3 Years of My Life.

Today.Saturday.

I *sob* accidentally cut my thumb with a penknife today when I was tearing down our booth.

Ouch.

A shout out to JAN. What a caring friend who took care of

my poor thumb, and told me that I wouldn't die. Lol. Love you lots.

Today is the last day of our exhibition.

I am officially a graduate and am now damn free.

And here are more pics my various friends took.

You can see me taking a video of that magical night. Video of that moment can be seen on youtube. I have uploaded it onto my facebook account too.

Esther, I'll miss you lots!

Haha, me 'bullying' Jan's boyfriend David aka An Pan Man.

My classic pose.

My favourite ladies and me the pimp.

Our boyband picture. Compare it with our boyband picture taken 2 years ago below. LOL.
A bunch of act cutes. 2 years later, we are still the same.

Today.Thursday.

Today.Thursday.

WHAT A NIGHT!

Finally, the fashion show and graduation. Here are some pictures and videos taken to explain the night.

I took this when I was walking out on stage for the final bow.

This is the TCC- the runway and the exhibition booths.

With J.Leong, the act-cute wannabe.

Amanda's collection- inspired by Naive Art.

My favourite model Oh My GAWD..

Ronald's collection- inspired by hip hop and mafia gangster.

Li Xian's collection

TUI SANG. This hawaiian model from Mannequin Model agency is so hot, you wouldn't believe she just had a child last year.. sweet! Hot mama!

Just plain crazy about her.

Backstage, prior to all Apparel Design and Merchandising 2008 grads appearing on the runway for a final bow. See and feel the madness.

Dom and Andrea.

Today.Tuesday.

Pictures from tonight's Alumni Night. All I can say for this whole retarded event is... "Thank God for the free chicken chop that would normally cost me $2.60."

Other than that, what a retarded event. Alumni night with only a few alumnis. In the end, a couple of the IMers decided to head downown to catch Step Up 2, even before the event started.

But me, being the ever goody-two-shoes, decided to stay back and went on a cam whore mission.

Esther and I

The face above me is Qing Wen, my coursemate from China. We are *ahem* alike in many ways. And I think probably first time in ADM history that there are 2 out'you-know-what. Not sure if she is out though to everyone.

The exhibition wall with all our ADM graduates' photos. Spot me.

Loko my LOCOMANIAC friend.

With my pal Amanda, who is full of shit and damn fun to be with.

Today.Sunday.

Pictures taken by Andrea and Emily, on the last day of our External Examiner Crit.

WE ARE FREE!!!!

The Imers, without darling Jan. Months of OTBs and Merchandise Assortment planning.. FINALLY OVER!!!

With the lecturers. Sometime I could have sworn I wanted to kill some of them. But now that it has ended, there is no need to bear a grudge.

From left, front row: Carol (Design lecturer), Irene (My merchandising lecturer), Christine Foong (my course manager, whom I am 'gam' with), and Harvey (the Visual Merchandising lecturer).

The International Merchandisers from the 08 batch! Again, minus Jan.

Today.Saturday.

Ever heard of an old stereotype that lesbians and fashion don’t mix?

Lesbians are stuck with the stereotype of being frumpy, flannel-wearing, anti-fashion radicals, while gay men are thought of as 'fashion gurus'.

I love fashion, love the fantasy and lifestyle that the world of fashion, models, magazines and runway shows are all about.

I don't wear flannel.

I don't even wear baggy shirts and jeans, for christ's sake.

Although I must admit, that some.. make that MANY.. masculine lesbians in Singapore are seriously in need of a style makeover.

Darlings, throw those baggy clothes away. Stop those swagger, those are irritating.

Today.Friday.

Life feels good when you have nothing else to do or work to worry about.

Hmm the smell of freedom.. Pure joy.

I applied for John Little for the ladies department assistant buyer post.

I don't know if that is a wise choice. People who knows me know that I hate merchandising.

But..

When one needs a job, one needs a job.

Wednesday, March 05, 2008

Today.Tuesday.

I HAVE GRADUATED!!!!!!!!!

My goodness gracious me..

3 years of torture and fun and everything has finally ended.

And it ended with a bang, I must add.

Thank God for giving me the ability to bullshit, that I may cover up my tracks with flowery long answers.

Being praised as the best presenter is the sweetest of all sounds and noises I have ever heard in my life.

Now I am looking for a job.

If anyone of you know of jobs in:
1) Event Coorordinator
2) Display Artist/ Visual Merchandiser
3) Marketing

.. Please let me know.

WHOO!

Today.Sunday.

Just came home from the gym.

Went to church this morning, had lunch with Ovidia. It has been so long since we last met.

DISCRIMINATION- WILL IT EVER END?
In Memory Of Lawrence King (Jan 13, 1993 - Feb 12, 2008)

14 year old King was shot in the head by fellow student Brandon, because he was openly gay and sometimes dressed in a "feminine" manner, and had asked Brandon to be his valentine.

Today.Saturday.

My portfolio turned out screwed again. Now I hafta reprint for the third time. Alternatively, I have to figure out a way to reuse the current ones.

3 days more.

I can smell freedom.

Started sending out my CV to companies. Though I doubt very much that I'll secure a job before I graduate. Well, ain't no harm in trying.

Yesterday I wen on a hunt for bowties. The cheapest I could find was at Far East.

$12.90, looks like $4 stuff.

Then there was the $32 bowtie being sold at Tangs. Helluva gorgeous but way over budget for something I am only gonna wear ONCE.
